Dinosaur Stamps

Today's theme for Sunday Stamps is Unusually shaped or oversized stamps. I am sure I have a lot of unusually shaped stamps (for instance). But I wished to show the last ones I received on a letter from Laura (the UK). They belong to this series issued by Royal Mail on 6th October, 2013. What amazed me the most is that, at first sight, you don't perceive they are unusually shaped!

Update: I had also received this one belonging to the same series.

  1. I bought the stamp cards to go with this issue of stamps but sadly they are normal rectangles. It would have been so cool to have postcards the same shape as the stamps.

  2. I agree, Eva, at first sight I didn't see they're unusual stamps either. And seeing the title first, too, I was wondering if you would have been skipping the Sunday Stamps theme :-)
Indeed they are unusual, by bulging in a very fine, nice way!
I enjoyed the other stamps to which you refer/link again. How nice that some simple square centimeters can bring so much joy!

  3. Yes I like them trying to escape from the stamp. I hope the one on your envelope is not going to come flying down my street:-) Although as Sheila says the cards are rectangular Royal Mail have done some badges in the shape of the stamps.
