The Peculiar Life of a Lonely Postman

This novel was recommended by John with these clever words (reproduced without his permission):
It's part romance, part mystery and part something else (I can't tell you what exactly because that might spoil the ending...)
I really enjoyed it! I think the title is enough to catch the eye of mail lovers. However, the original French is Le facteur émotif. And in English it was first published as Postman's Round

  1. A promising title which indeed catches my attention!
As far as I know it alas hasn't been translated into Dutch. In German it's called 'Siebzehn Silben Ewigkeit' which means '17 syllables eternity' and I think this title wouldn't have attracted my attention..

    1. I wanted to read this in the original (French), but it was impossible to find it. So finally I read it English.

All the titles are adequate, but I think 'The Peculiar Life...' is far more attractive. It's a short novel, quick to read and sometimes funny, I recommend it to you.

I'm very grateful to John. I read it because of him!
