Night Views of Cities

This is a post for Sunday Stamps-II. Today the theme is Fireworks or night views

This Canadian stamp was issued in 2010, commemorating the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. It shows a night view of the city of Vancouver. (More about this issue.)

And this Spanish stamp is another commemorative: of the 5th Centenary of the birth of Teresa of Ávila. The stamp show a detail of the sculpture The Ecstasy of St. Teresa, by Gian Lorenzo Bernini and, on the background, a night view of the walls of Àvila.

(A second post with fireworks on stamps.)

  1. Thanks again for all your help last week.

Two contrasting night views on your stamps. I would be happy to have either in my collection.

    1. The Vancouver stamp is bigger than usual, I love it. And concerning the night view of Ávila... it was a sort of excuse to upload it to the blog: I am not very fond of stamps depicting religious themes.

  4. Skyscrapers at night, always a great sight.

    1. Is only for that they built skyscrapers, isn't it?
