My Handwriting

Lately I have been told several times that I have I nice handwriting. This has surprised me, because I think it is just a normal one. But I guess the handwriting of a lot of people is getting worse because they write less and less by hand...

    1. Olá, Gabriela! Muito obrigada pela sua visita.

Gostei de ver também como e a sua letra. É muito diferente da minha! Vi que tem uma secção com as letras dos leitores. É uma ideia legal, acho que vou participar!

  2. Yes, I think handwriting is getting worse because of computers. I used to write all my notes in freshman university by hand and next year I took laptop with me to do all the work and when I had to write something with my hand then, it hurt after one sentence and it felt weird to write :D

By the way, I really like your page, I keep coming back, even though I found it just week ago. And your handwriting is nice.

    1. But you can't write your postcards using the computer, can you? ;-)

  3. I don't have a beautiful handwriting, but I write a lot in the traditional way. So, in my case it's not because of the use of computers. I still take notes by hand (and I do attend loads of congresses and seminars) and I leave notes and post-its every day (I'm the last member if the family who goes to sleep and normally the last one to wake up), I plan almost everything on a notebook before I write the whole text on the computer... I think that the most I wrote by hand (and the most bizarre was the situation), the worse my handwriting turned. Then I also discovered some advantages of a handwriting that nobody but me could really understand it (when I wanted, but sometimes I wish it was better) ;P
Lol At least, it's a unique handwriting too, I guess :D

  5. My handwriting was extremely bad before computer time! Especially when I was/am in a hurry, e.g. when I have to write notes while listening to seminars and write A4 size sheets on any subject. Even my written letters/postcards suffered from a bad handwriting in the pre-computer era, because I took this 'hurry-while-writing' with me, everywhere I went and wrote :-)

Since I have a computer, both my note-/other-A4-texts and handwritten letter/postcard texts are readable! The typed A4-texts because they have been typed :-) (so my hurry nowadays can 'go wild' on the keyboard). And my handwritten letters because I leave this 'hurry' at the keyboard now, while I now am able to take the time to write a readable text by hand.

    I wouldn't consider your handwriting feminine, I think it typical Eva-nesque :-)

To my opinion (but it's just an opinion) 'typical' feminine handwriting is more round, larger and with the vertical lines slant a bit backwards (like the example of Michele on this site: www.ikwilkaarten.nl/pages/handschriften ). But as said, it's only an opinion, I never had looked at your handwriting like that before, I just love the clearness and solidness (in contrary to my 'hopping' handwriting :-)

    1. I love your "short" comments ;)
Eva-nesque? Mmm, I also like the word!

I tell you the same I told Eutrapèlia: your handwriting is perfectly understandable so don't worry. There is a lot of people who don't like their handwriting. I think mine is far better when I write in lined paper (but postcards usually are not lined, what a pity!). And also depending on the pen.

      (Another "short" comment, ha ha!)
