You can look more closely at the stamps if you wish... I was very surprised to discover that the Netherlands has issued stamps with lighthouses from other European countries!

I had never considered Europe to have an east coast before. I also like the direct translation for lighthouse in some of the northern countries like Netherlands and Norway - fire tower.

ReplyDeleteI always like to see how the post has stamped.. They did their best, and succeeded!, to put the postmarks on all stamps, even the ones in the edge :-)
I'll keep them like a golden treasure! (And the book, of course). I have told you that it has arrived on a (lost?) postcard.
