  1. I had no idea that the back of the envelope between the closing flap and the bottom flap had a name - and throat is quite descriptive.

    Your post also made me wonder where the word window comes from, as even in German it seems to have a Latin origin. Apparently English kept an Old Norse word vindauga (literally wind eye).
