I have a mail adventure to share with you, but it is not possible to upload the picture. You are going to understand why.
Last April Ana, who lives in Macedonia China, spent her holidays in Spain. She was kind enough to send a postcard from her holidays. The postcard arrived one week later in Morocco.
When I found it in the post office box, at first I did not understand. Ana? Who is that Ana? Because the postcard she has chosen for me was a -let me say, beautiful- picture of my home town. She did not know I am from there; we had exchanged just two or three postcards, always sent to my Moroccan address.
But there it was: a postcard that features my village. Exactly, my street. More exactly: my parents' house. The house I was born in.
But there it was: a postcard that features my village. Exactly, my street. More exactly: my parents' house. The house I was born in.
And still more: I was actually there the very same day she wrote that postcard! (Without knowing she was there, of course).
Ooh, such an extraordinary, miraculous coincidence!!
ReplyDeleteIt brought a broad smile to my face, a heart-warming story, as if it meant to be this way. But also a little wondering: do you feel pity you didn't meet?
Of course I do. It would have been very nice to have a coffee in my hometown... :|
DeleteOh, my... I can't believe it!!! It's such a sweet story, although it was a pitty you didn't get to meet each other in person. Does she know what actually happened?
ReplyDeleteI sent a letter to her, just to explain it :)
DeleteShe also couldn't believe that!
Is it the postcard you send me?
ReplyDeleteI don't remember that I sent you the postcard (!), but probably it is the same picture.
DeleteThat is amazing.
ReplyDeleteA real mail adventures, isn't it?
DeleteWow! That's impossible! Improbable! Incredible!
ReplyDeleteRather improbable... but not impossible, as you read :D
DeleteMon dieu....magnifique
ReplyDeleteJe crois que celui-ci est l'aventure postal la plus bizarre qui m'est arrivée...
