Always fascinating that the weather, temperature, climate, always differ from ours, at the same time on a different place
I think Alaska would more thsn just "refreshing". Something closer to "iceing"... :)
DeleteFor years I believed I'd actually live in Alaska. I believed it was my destiny. It never happened. Not even a cruise. :) Having an actual penfriend in the state, imagining the mosquitoes there being bigger and badder than mosquitoes here all worked together to change my mind. :) I kept myself in Colorado. LOL. The photos are always the loveliest.

DeleteActually Limmer is quite accurate in the mosquito estimation. I've seen them and have been bitten by them many times there and yes, they are the biggest ones in the US I have ever seen. However, when seen in light of all the incredible mountains, glaciers, icebergs, bears, moose, wolves, orcas, and many other creatures, Alaska is still worth a visit. I could live there too...for maybe a year :)
