Mail from Mexico!

These pieces of mail where sent by Bryon from Mexico (plus another postcard to be published). They took two to three months to arrive.

This is a very original one. The menu of a restaurant in Sacramento (California, the USA), but sent from Mexico as well. It is a big A3, folded twice... The kind of things that the owners never suspect to be sent by mail. Let alone to Morocco!

  3. Nice mail from Mexico!

I am amazed how mail from (and to) Mexico takes so much time... Usually I am patient but concerning Mexico I am not, anymore. That is, I've sent mail to a woman in Mexico I know via instagram, and it still didn't arrived after more than 4 months. While I am convinced it has been lost, she still is optimistic and told me it still may arrive :-)

    1. Sometimes is difficult to be optimistic, but last week I received an envelope from France after... seven months!

    2. Heleen, It is probably similar to mail I receive in Ecuador. I have received things in as little as six weeks and as long as six months.

  4. A colleague of mine who lives in Guadalajara chided me as I was sending these postcards and telling me that sending cards was old fashioned and no one did such any longer, hmmmm. He did correctly state however that personal mail into and out of Mexico often takes months. I asked him about ad circulars and bills and he said those always arrive at his home promptly and on time!

    1. I admit that snail mail si old fashioned. But I laugh when people say that nobody is sending it any more. Because we do, a lot of people do!

As I usually told, I'm happy enough when my letters arrive, no problem with time any more.

(Did you get my mail art envelope, by the way?)
