Today theme/letter in Sunday Stamps-II is S.
I have been surprised lately by a lot of people from around the world skating on the stamps I have got (?!).
Canada
The USA
(Update: I have just read here that these ice hockey stamps belong to a joint series of stamps put on circulation by the USA and the Canada postal administrations on 20 October 2017.)
jolis timbres ! Ceux de Noël sont mes préférés!
ReplyDeleteJe vois que tu adores les fêtes de Noël :)
DeleteSkate, such a (re)fresh(ing) subject for today (here snow starts to cover the whole country..).
ReplyDeleteAnd how nice to see skateboard stamps! Here we have different names, with totally different pronounciation, though both starting with the 's': the activity on skateboards is 'skaten', and the activity on ice skates we name 'schaatsen'.
Well, you have contributed a lot to this post, haven't you? ;)
DeleteI'm not the biggest Snoopy fan, but that stamp always put me in good mood, like the Smurfs!
I love that perfectly placed cancel on the Dutch stamp which makes it look as though the skateboarder is jumping through it. A great selection of icy stamps.
ReplyDeleteI had also noticed that! :)
DeleteI am impressed with the number of skates you have received on stamps.
ReplyDeleteActually, me too!
DeleteGreat stamps but the only skate I am familiar with is a fish.
ReplyDeleteAs a friend wrote in Twitter, it is probably safer to skate on stamps than in real life :)
