Study French!

Among the funny mail I am getting this summer, I received this postcard from Julia (Australia), promoting courses of French language.

Four days latter, two more postcards arrived from a friend living in my country... encoraging me to study French!

  3. Love those cards. Whatbdo the expressions about the vache and the mouche mean? (learned some French at school but definitely not sufficient to know what's 'behind' these phrases :-)

    1. "Ah, la vache" can be translated as “Oh my god!” or “My, oh, my.” or just "Wow!". I think it has different meanings, depending on the context.

"Ne prends pas la mouche" means "Don't be upset", "Don't take offence".
