The Union Station Ticket Lobby shortly after the station opened in 1927. Long considered one of the most magnificent public rooms in Canada, by the 1970s this space became known as the Great Hall. Although the room was altered little over the years, the magnificent marble pylon in the centre with the clock was removed in 1967.

DeleteA pity the clock was removed. Always interesting to see train stations, they are fascinating public spaces.

By the way, today I went to the city of Rotterdam and I found two postcards of two different Rotterdam railway stations! And happened to arrive by train at one of them, and left via the other one :-)
I also travelled by train yesterday, but no postcards of the railway stations :|
