Es gibt ihn doch...

The Gruffalo is a children's book by writer and playwright Julia Donaldson, illustrated by Axel Scheffler, that tells the story of a mouse, the protagonist of the book, taking a walk in a European forest.

I was very pleased to receive this stamp. It is the very first book (err... tale?) I read in English. As an adult.

  1. So glad to see you feature (kid's) books on stamps. This is a great one - perfect for a first in English.

  2. I love the Gruffalo stamp (and am a happy receiver, too). I've never read the books (although I had it in hands a few times in the book store - the 'children's books' section in book shops are great for grown-ups, too). But I've seen the short animation movie 'The child of the Gruffalo', which I loved, too.

Thank you for sharing - and I agree: more books/illustrations on stamps!

    1. C'est bref et amusant. Je crois que cela doit être facile à trouver dans quelque bibliothèque.

    1. This one was a present, but sometimes I read children's stories from the library. I believe that good books have no age.
