Bulgaria is not a country I receive a lot of mail from. Actually, I think it is only my second postcard from there.
This one was sent by Ana, and features an aerial view of St. Alexander Nevski catheral in the capital, Sofia.
The stamp was issued on 16 January, and it is dedicated to the Bulgarian embroideries. The designer is Svetlin Balezdrov.

That stamp is a fine one, I love the the way the figures are drawn / embroidered.
ReplyDeleteThanks to stamps I learned that Bulgarian is written in cyrillic :-)
Also I almost never receive or send mail from/to Bulgaria, however, I happened to have to send a postcard to Bulgaria recently (via Postcrossing) :-)
This one didn't arrived via Psotcrossing. At first it seemed to be that it was a drawing, not a picture. The colours are vivid.
DeleteI'm fortunate to have a friend made through postcrossing in Bulgaria. The cards she sends me show what a beautiful country it is.
ReplyDeleteI've seen sometimes the postcards on your Instagram and on your blog.
DeleteThat is a great stamp. And what a stunning cathedral.
