More (2018) Christmas Envelopes & Cards

I believe that the mail system became a bit crazy during the last Christmas season. Most letters took an incredible time to reach its destination. As a result, I got a lot of Christmas mail in January, even in February... I hope this year it will work better!

  1. December holidays are the only season in which PostNL has different postmarks (in contrary to mot other countries who have a larger variety). This year they again use the two-christmas-trees-postmark instead of the waves (I already received one, on a regular card with a december stamp :-) ).
I think it great to see that one x-mas trees postmark is dancing above of the stamps (so, if ever in NL, you can use that envelope again to send a postcard to yourself :-) ).
And even funnier is that PostNL apparently thought that there were more than enough dennenbomen on the first envelope sonthey skipped this envelope this time :-)

(by the way, the christmas song is about the den (dennenboom = den tree, in German Tannenbaum) but the tree used at x-mas is not a den but a spar :-) Both have needle-leaves instead of flat regular leaves and both stay green in winter, but still... In all those years no one ever corrected this famous x-mas song :-) )

    1. I thought of these when you told me that you don't have pictorial postmarks. They are some in Spain, but they aren't always easy to get (you need to go to certain post offices, where they are available for few days). We have also "tourist postmarks": you need to ask for them in the post office, and usually the clerk knows nothing about :|

Thanks again for these mail. I haven't published it yet because Christmas was over when it arrived. But I'm sure I replied! :)
