The Group of Seven | Johnston

Bryon postal experiment on The Group of Seven goes on!

Some members of the Group of Seven boarded a train in Sault Ste. Marie and travelled north to Agawa Canyon Wilderness Park. where they painted many of their famous works. Like the one on the postcard: Drowned Land, Algona (1918), by Frank Johnston (188-1949).

Another work from the same painter on the stamp: Fire Swept Algoma (1920).
