Sunday Stamps | Japan

For this week's topic in Sunday Stamps, Asia, I have chosen the latest stamps arrived from Japan.

12 January 2021: Flower Raft in Hirosaki Park (Aomori Prefecture),
9 October 2020: Canary and Peonies, by Hokusai. for the International Letter Writing Week.

25 May 1973: Quasi-National Parks: Mt. Kamagatake
5 March 2003: Cosmos & Saku Cosmos, Highway - Toshin Area

These stamps arrived in August, on the back of two Postcrossing postcards. Some people not only send beautiful postcards: they take a lot of care of the backs!

  1. Les cartes en provenance d'Asie et du Japon plus particulièrement sont mes préférées , ce sont souvent des petits chefs d'œuvre d'attention .

I really like the canary and peony. I might write more cards if I could send along such pretty stamps for letter writing week ;)

  4. So beautiful, and indeed the back sides of the cards are a treasure, too!
Interesting to see that the placement of the addresses (and thus stamps) varies so much!
