And how coincidental that the last postcard, sent from Japan, is a Dutch one! :-) I cannot resist to explain the text (in case the sender didn't yet tell about this). It is a funny wordplay :-) When it is bad rainy weather, in Dutch we say 'het is pokkenweer', literally meaning 'it is pocks weather' (though the majority of the Dutch doesn't notice the literal meaning). 'Het is' (it is) in Dutch is abbreviated as 't Is; the first 'weer' means 'again', the second 'weer' means 'weather'. The funny thing is that they now say 'it is pocket weather' in stead of 'pokken weather', and 'pocket' means pocket book. The small text on bottom explains 'zwarte beertjes-weer', and 'zwarte beertjes (boeken)' ('little black bears (books)') pockets are a brand of Dutch pocket books / paperbacks, similar to the brand/serie of Penguin books. So in fact the text says something of which I guess we all like: it is suitable weather to read (zwarte beertjes) paperbacks :-)
