Sunday Stamps | Victoria Cross

Jack Cornwell is the third-youngest recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious decoration of the British decorations system. It is awarded for valour "in the presence of the enemy" to members of the British Armed Forces.

More that the theme itself , I like the design of the stamp and the fact that you can read the story on it.

See the whole series here, and go to Sunday Stamps to see more stamps about the Military.

  1. I still can't help feeling a sixteen year old shouldn't be fighting... but he wasn't even the youngest. I agree, it is a nice looking stamp.

  4. It is an awesome stamp. And so are the other stamps in the series. I agree: no 16 year old should go to war....

  5. A life not lived. Sad that fate decided his father who did not give his permission for him to join up was buried with him.

  6. 16 years old is very young. But nobody should be fighting, for that matter.
