Winter Holidays Stamps

Sunday Stamps - II suggested today Christmas (secular). Actually, most of the Christmas stamps I am receiving are related with the non-religious aspects of this holidays.

According to them, the most important things in winter and/or Christmas are
a) Enjoying the snow,
b) Killing a tree (I am not going to do this!),
c) Sending letters.

From Italy

From the Netherlands

From the United Kingdom

From the USA

Update: I have received two more! (Thanks, Bryon!)

Update 2: (See also this envelope!)

  2. What a wonderful compilation / abstract!
Great stamps as well - I had never seen the Charlie Brown stamps before, even though I get mail from the USA rather regularly :-| So I'm happy and enjoying to see them here :-)

    1. I'm sure you're going to receive some of them. As FinnBadger wrote, I'd like I could use postage from other countries too!

I bet you're not going to kill any tree either... ;-)

  5. Oh dear, I rather like having a real tree... not that I do have one. And they are grown especially for Christmas on tree farms (at least in my area they are).
Once again, a lovely series of stamps. And I agree - most of the ones I have are not of the religious sort!

    1. Maybe you're right about trees... There is all kind of tress and, of course, this is also a business (I mean, necessary for some people). I guess buying one of these trees is like eating a chicken...

Apart from the tree, I hope you will also enjoy the snow and the letters :)

  6. Fine selection. This year the UK stamps have a religious theme. If I had to pick a favourite stamp from the ones you've shown us I would plump for the two penguins.

  7. Penguins are popular at Christmas too, how did that happen. Letters with lots of stamps are a present in themselves.

    1. Me too, I don't know why we associate penguins to Christmas. Maybe because of the snow. But it seems this year isn't going to snow in Christmas...
