Sunday Stamps | Japan
For this week's topic in Sunday Stamps, Asia, I have chosen the latest stamps arrived from Japan.
9 October 2020: Canary and Peonies, by Hokusai. for the International Letter Writing Week.
5 March 2003: Cosmos & Saku Cosmos, Highway - Toshin Area
These stamps arrived in August, on the back of two Postcrossing postcards. Some people not only send beautiful postcards: they take a lot of care of the backs!

Drawing the Summer - III
“There are certain queer times and occasions in this strange mixed affair we call life when a man takes this whole universe for a vast practical joke, though the wit thereof he but dimly discerns, and more than suspects that the joke is at nobody's expense but his own.”
Herman Melville, Moby-Dick

Sunday Stamps | Ponte Vasco da Gama
Today's theme in Sunday Stamps is Post War Architecture. I hope this stamp fits in!
The Vasco da Gama Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge over the Tagus river, near Lisbon (Portugal). With its 12,3 km length, it is the second longest bridge in Europe. Its construction started in 1995 and finished in 1998.
The stamp was issued on 9 May 2018, as the Portuguese EUROPA stamp for the theme Bridges.

Dennis Stamp
Letter sent by Alan (the UK). Ar first sight, the stamp looked like a drawing on the envelope! It belongs to this series.

Sunday Stamps | Emilio Sánchez
Today's theme in Sunday Stamps is Art/Paintings. I have chosen these stamps I got last week.
The stamps on the right feature two works by the artist Emilio Sánchez. You can read more about this issue here. It includes two more stamps.
I am afraid the sender did not pay attention when he stuck the stamps on the envelope. The artworks make much more sense in the right way:
Untitled (Ventanita entreabierta) Lowe Art Museum |
En el Souk Syracuse University Art Museum |
Update 24/Oct/2021: I got more stamps from this series.
Update 04/Jan/2022:
