This is a sweet (very short) book about a typewriter machine on a bookshop.

DeleteWhen I was in Mexico City (in the 90-ies) on the central square I saw, between all kinds of vendors, people with a typewriter on small tables, who offered to typewrite letters for people who couldn't type or write by themselves.
ReplyDeleteAlso one of the two main characters in the movie 'Central do Brasil' ('Central Station', 1998) is a letter writer.
I wonder how this will be now, now that computers and emails have replaced paper letters substantially?
In Morocco you can still find them. Outside the post office, there were some men who offer people to fill in their forms; also in the border between Morocco and Spain. And, near home, there were a small shop which consisted in a man and a typewriter. He wrote anything for you :)
