This stamp and postcard belong to the set dedicated to Romantic Poets, issued by Royal Mail on 7 April, the 250th birth anniversary of William Wordsworth. (More information about this issue.)
It happens to be my favourite stamp of the set, and I got it also in the form of a postcard.

I could still recite chunks of this poem. But, we spent too much time studying and memorizing it in high school that I still don't think of it fondly.

DeleteI'm glad to see it was hand stamped. It's pot luck nowadays as to whether they hand stamp it or chuck it in the masher, I mean machine.

DeleteIt's my favourite of the set as well. When a postcrosser asks for my favourite quote this is one of the three I alternate between. There's an idea for a blog post - my ten favourite quotations.
