ReplyDeleteWhen I visited the Fundació Joan Miró in Barcelona his art fascinated me.
DeleteIt is fun to “decipher” details in the painting. Look at the dog on the bottom left…. And the little cat on the left. Is it someone playing a guitar?

DeleteI like it, although it is quite a departure from the original he based it on! I read he bought a postcard he sat on his easel while he painted it.

DeleteCertainly lacks the stillness of the classic dutch interior paintings. One can imagine it moving at any time, apart from what I think is a little owl.
