In 2025, the 750th birthday of the city of Amsterdam was celebrated
with stamps, and also with a Postcrossing meeting.
The first time the city of Amsterdam was mentioned in a document was the privilege (see the back) handed by count Floris V to citizens of Amsterdam (see the front), in 1275. The count also built the castle Muiderslot (see the bottom left stamp). The top left stamp shows the Dam Square.
