Sent by Heleen (the Netherlands).
Postcard made of food packaging bought long long time ago. But it stills smells to crema catalana! I usually don't publish the back of the postcards, but this is very nice:
I especially love the fact that the post officers thought the stamp was a real one and postmarked it!
By the way, today is Queen's Day, so I'm happy to have some orange incoming mail from the Netherlands to post!
I ara que regnarà el fill se seguirà dient així, el Dia? :O
ReplyDeleteVery nice postcard!
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting, Eva! Yes, the crema smells delicious!
ReplyDelete@ Eutrapèlia: I wasn't for sure yet, as they didn't say anything about it from the balcony (half past 11 this morning) and at 14.30h there will be an other ceremony where I would expect them to declare.
But I learned right now from wikipedia (the link Eva put in this blog) that from next year on, it will be called King's day ('Koningsdag'). Which will be celebrated on 27th April, Willem-Alexander's birthday. 30 April was the birthday of his grandmother, the late and former queen Juliana. Beatrix' birthday is in January, so Beatrix decided to keep Queen's day on 30th of April, because of the weather forecast and as a present to her mother. So that's why I expected that W-A might make the same decision, too, as a present to his mother. We will know for sure later this day :-)
Really interesting, thank you, Heleen!
