This week
Sunday Stamps is for
Letters, postcards and the post. I have published many times this kind of stamps, as it is one of my favourite themes. And I guess it is the same for a lot of mail lovers.
So today I want just to show you some of the latest I have got and really love.
|
From Belgium. Smurfs are my heroes! |
|
From Germany |
|
From the Netherlands I like this Escherian idea! |
|
From the Netherlands |
|
From the Netherlands (Sorry for the bad picture!) |
|
From the Netherlands I adore this stamp you can read in all directions...
(See the complete sheet here) |
A nice selection. The center of the last Netherlands stamp looks odd--maybe just a stamp shape?
ReplyDeleteI think it is to be scratched, but I didn't.
DeleteAs far as I know the center is decorative and not to be scratched. It is gold coloured, maybe because it was issued as a December stamp (christmas stamp).
DeleteOh thanks, Heleen! ("Usual" information again). It is still one of my ever favourite stamps!
DeleteWhat an interesting selection of stamps and how nice to be able to send a I love stamps stamp. I like the last stamps journey of a letter. I remember them doing a scratch stamp for valentines day when you scratched the heart and it said I love you. I wonder if this is a similar message.
ReplyDeleteDo you mean these http://mailadventures.blogspot.com/search/label/Valentines?
DeleteI have only one of these stamps, and I don't dare to scratch it...
Wonderful! I don't think I have seen these, maybe they will come my way via Postcrossing. Thank you for participating.
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid some of them are old, but... who knows? :)
DeleteI can see why you like the Smurfs.
ReplyDelete:D
Deletethose are really interesting stamps! i particularly love the first one, am sure my little man will love it too! :)
ReplyDeleteA fun selection, I wouldn't want to scratch the stamp either, but I can see how it might increase sales, buy 2, one to keep, one to scratch.
ReplyDelete:-)
DeleteBy the way, they even only were available in sheets of 20 stamps :-)

Thank you for sharing, Eva! Well, the smurf doesn't need any further comment :-)
ReplyDeleteI know the Dutch stamps, but by seeing them in your blog I learned that I didn't always watch them well! I knew the 'I love stamps' stamp well, but just now I see that the love comes from both sides :-)
"Stamps love me", I think a great motto!
Every time you look at the stamps, you discover something. I also think it is a great motto. And, by the way, I think stamps love us more than they love collectors, because we give them the chance of travelling to far countries! :D
Delete:-)
DeleteApart from "I love stamps", I don't believe I've seen any of these before. I think the Netherlands has won the award this week for the most entries. :)
ReplyDeleteThe Netherlands postal service issues a lot of wonderful stamp. I'm always amazed by their variety and originality.
DeleteI like the fact that the last one can be affixed any way up! Some lovely stamps here on the theme (I could only find one for my blogpost).
ReplyDeleteMe too, it looks like the perfect stamp for mail lovers... :)
DeleteOh my, I had never seen that Smurf stamp before... That's so gorgeous, I'd love to receive one myself, too! Thanks for sharing! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks to you for visiting the blog! This is a perfect stamp indeed!
DeleteI've not seen any of these stamps before! and as one who has been known to put stamps on cards in the wrong direction, I like the last one ;)
ReplyDeleteYes, the last one is really useful :D
DeleteNice collection of mail related stamps you have! These kind of stamps are my favroites as well.
