Post from the UN is always carefully stamped. Usually, like on the back of this postcard, more than once. But then, the USPS machines considered that it needed another (duller) postmark in order to reach its recipient...

As I understand it, the USPS is contracted to sort and transport all of the UN mail. Thus outgoing mail first gets UN postmarks at the UN and then also an automated USPS postmark when sorted at the USPS distribution system in New York. That process can get a bit messy on the envelope! I wonder if similar happens at the UN postal counters in Geneva and Vienna?
