Two of my latest Postcrossing recipients requested postcards in envelopes, which to me defeats the idea. One, in Denmark says a private company is in charge of mail since their postal service shut down, and they put huge labels over stamps and messages.
I see that from time to time, Postcrossers who request envelopes. I assume it is often because they are also stamp collectors who do not want to damage the postcards. I try to accommodate them when practical.
I'm guessing there are folks who collect those!
