Come on, Postal Services




People make efforts to send nice envelopes: drawings, stickers... Then the postals services add these wonderful oversized white labels!

    1. Of course. They are all sorts of philatelists. I agree it has its historic and philatelic value. But, if possible, I prefer to see a colourful stamp on my mail-

  2. Two of my latest Postcrossing recipients requested postcards in envelopes, which to me defeats the idea. One, in Denmark says a private company is in charge of mail since their postal service shut down, and they put huge labels over stamps and messages.

  3. I see that from time to time, Postcrossers who request envelopes. I assume it is often because they are also stamp collectors who do not want to damage the postcards. I try to accommodate them when practical.

  4. Like Bryon, I think that is because people prefer to collect postcards and stamps/envelopes separately. That is no problem to me, because it is the same rate to send postcards and envelopes from Spain; the price depends on the weight.
