Sunday Stamps | M is for Megalith

The UNPA (United Nations Postal Administratio) has a tradition of issuing stamps that celebrate UNESCO World Heritage Sites, which are recognized for their outstanding cultural, historical, and natural significance.

In 2024, they issued six stamps featuring Korean sites. Bryon sent me one of them, dedicated to the Gochang, Hwasun and Ganghwa Dolmen Sites.

This is my M-stamp for this week's Sunday Stamps.

  1. That is a beautiful dolmen captured in a beautiful photograph.
These structures never cease to amaze me... The ingenuity needed to move those rocks and slabs into place defies reasoning...

    2. They amaze me, too. And the fact some of them have reached our time.

  4. A very atmospheric stamp. Fascinating how the same structures appear all over the world in the same time period.
