Sunday Stamps | P Is for Piaf

I used these stamps of Edith Piaf on a previous round of Sunday Stamps A-Z, long ago. They were issued in 2012.

But I have recently got a third one, from France. I was wondering why they have used the same picture... until I realised it was a joint issue with the USA!

This is my P post for Sunday Stamps A-Z.

    1. I never mind having two stamps or two postcards with the same image. Every one has travelled in a different time and way, so every one is unique.

  6. Strange the two countries used the same image when so many great photographs were taken of her.

  7. That's nice to have the two. In your previous post you wondered if we needed an introduction. I did! Not a woman I was familiar with.

    1. I'm sure you have listened to her without knowing her name (And that happens to me all the time with all kind of artists!)
