Brain Cell Envelope

Mail art sent by Katerina (Greece).

Envelope made of a list of participants in Ryosuke Cohen's project Brain Cell (the longest mail art project ever?). It isn't the first envelopes made in the same way. As Heleen wrote, some of them arrive, and some don't. Honestly, I thought it would be lost in way, as post workers sometimes get confused with this kind of mail...

Macedonia

Postcard sent by Ana (Macedonia).

This is the unique postcard I have received from this country so far. It shows St. John Church in Ohrid. In fact, this city is notable for having 365 churches, one for every day of the year. For that is also know as Jerusalem of the Balkans. Ohrid is one of only 28 sites that are part of UNESCO's World Heritage that are both Cultural and Natural sites.

The postcard arrived with these beautiful stamps:

Nobody to Write a Love Letter To

«Ou, quem sabe, o que me perturba é não ter ninguém a quem escrever uma carta de amor?»

Stamp Houses

This post wasn't intended to participate in Sunday Stamps. But as the theme this week is Anything you wish... Well, I hope you don't mind that I am participating with something different.

Taken from here.

The Blue Beast

1, 2, 3, this is me...
The Blue Beast

First contribution (collage postcard) for the mail art call about: Mermaids in the port, queens of the sea. Well, they aren't exactly "in the port"...

By the way: I took the picture before of sticking the stamp, but of course I did. And I have found in the site of the project that they have published it without the stamp, just as below. So I wonder if it arrived stampfree... I assure you I paid the stamp!

Second contribution to the same project (recycled envelope with stickers):

(This post is also for Paper Saturdays).

Alice

Sent by Stéphanie (France). Illustration by Rébecca Dautremer.

I did not understand Alice in Wonderland as a child. But now is one of my favourite books. However, I have only got a postcard two postcards related to this book so far.

Update: I have forgotten this one!!

Sent by Laura (the UK). "My books", Page from Blackie's Children's Annual, 1919, By Honor Appleton.

Postcard from Guersney

Postcard sent by Monica (Guernsey).

It is my first postcard form Guernsey, and it includes two of my favourite themes: teddy bears and planes. It made my day!

Blue & Red Letter

Letter sent to John (the UK).

Van Gogh

Postcard sent by Heleen (the Netherlands). It's a portrait of Vincent van Gogh, whose 161st birthday would be today. It was sent with a matched stamp. I love the quote on it:

werkelijk, er is niets kunstzinniger dan liefde voor de mensen
('Really, there is nothing more artistic than loving people'*)

And I have just discovered that I got another stamp of this series long time ago:

*Google Translate dixit.

Make Tea (or Coffee)

Postcard sent by Laura (the UK).

Maybe it is a naive slogan but I adore it. But of course, as usual, unable myself to choose between tea and coffee (I love both), let me show you another bright postcard I have got:

It was sent by Heleen (the Netherlands). They forget the second part of the sentence: Let's do coffee... not war!

Which one do you prefer?
