A postcard from the Cherry Festival Meetup in the village of Cothen sent by Heleen (the Netherlands). The stamp features the painting A Cherry Seller at the Door, by Abraham van Strij (follow the link to appreciate the cherries!).
However, apart from this one, they are other fruit stamps on the back of the postcard. Actually... I had never seen healthier fruits!

The cherry card makes my mouth water. The last three stamps are so much fun! I checked the painting link: really beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThose stamps made me smile. It is not the first that comes to your mind when your think of "healthy fruit"!
DeleteOh, the cherry season is much too short! Your card makes me miss it already, and it's not been that long.
ReplyDeleteMe too, I vote for a longer cherry season!
DeleteEven the lettering on the healthy fruits is getting into the act, love those stamps, and fruit.
ReplyDeleteTrue! Have you seen healthy letters before? ;)
DeleteI love how the font is different on each of these Dutch stamps( just like real bodies). A cherry festival meetup sounds luscious. The fact that cherries are so seasonal and not available year round makes them extra special.
ReplyDeleteI think that's true.
