Russia, 2021. Autonomous Robot FEDOR. The stamp belongs to the set Technological Achievements of Russia.

Taiwan, 2021. The left stamp is dedicated to Artificial Intelligence and AI, and belongs to the set that commemorates the 110th anniversary of the country. The right stamp belongs to the set Core Industries of Taiwan, and features defense and strategic industries.

The Whole Journey

Westerhevesand , built in 1908, must be the best-know lighthouses in northern Germany. This postcard was sent by David via Postcrossing. 

The sender was king enough to add a couple of stamps of lighthouses (and two more of the nice series World of Letters).

Usually, when I receive a postcard from Postcrossing, I upload the image to my wall. Sometimes I find that the sender had already uploaded it before sending it. I like the idea of ​​the sender of this postcard: it's like we can know about its previous life, and see the whole journey.

I received a postcard calender (KUHL (2026) - Kulturverlag Kadmos Berlin) as a gift. The postcards are not thin like in other calenders, just regular good postcard quality. The postcards show German sayings literally translated in English, so that often creates funny sayings. But don’t worry, the meaning is explained correctly in English on the back. Each of the cards shows cows.

I plan on sending one written and stamped postcard per week from this calendar next year (2026).

I got this postcard from Germany, thanks to Postcrossing. I found the picture very pretty, and I wondered where it had been taken. There were no clues on the back. After a short online research, I found that the photographer is Daria Obymaha (Vilnius, Lithuania). The city is Paris (France) in 2015.

It had been posted here with the indication "free to use". Which mean it has been used in all kinds of articles, magazines and who knows what. Even for postcards!

I would like to know why the sender choose it.
