Mail Art Egg
Mail Art Egg was organised first time in 2012 with the aim of changing the original paradigm of egg by creating postal letters considering egg as a shape. There were 164 letters received from almost all parts of the world, created by kids to grown-ups from Brazil to England, including Hungary as well. All of these masterpieces were exhibited at different places in Hungary at Easter-time followed by an official handover-ceremony to the Postal Museum in Budapest, Hungary. This museum owns the biggest collection of stamps in the world – which is now complemented by these Mail Egg masterpieces as well. This is the 15th year that Mail-Art Egg Project is being announced!

Bree went to the post office, paid for the postage and the mail clerk chose and stuck them on himself. He had few room left, so he stuck one stamp on top of the other.

Sunday Stamps | Easter
Today's theme in Sunday Stamps is Chocolates, bunnies/rabbits, flowers, eggs, churches...
Among the eggs, a couple of decorated ones from Ukraine. Among the flowers: Passionflower and Pasqueflower will do to wish Happy Easter to all who celebrate it.

Peace Is the Highest Value of Humanity
I have published several posts about the Peace Stamp Project. I have got a bunch of wonderful envelopes from different countries. And I still hope to get some more.
But no doubt that the most meaningful is this one, received from Ukraine.

Alphabet 2023 | P Is for Punxsutawney
Another postcard from Bryon's project! Actually, two, because P and Q arrived together. As the sender wrote, P is full of possibilities.
How many P flowers have their own stamp? At least: Passionflower, Plains Prickly Pear, Pasqueflower and California Poppy.
An interesting stamp featuring Georgios Papanikolaou, inventor of the Pap test:
The postcard was sent from the state of Pennsylvania.
Maybe you cannot appreciate it from the picture, but it was posted in Punxutawney... A place that I really wanted to get mail from!

I Opened My Window

«Il n'y avait pour moi qu'une bonne heure dans toutes ces heures, c'était cette où j'entendais de ma chambre les pas, la crécelle et la voix du facteur qui distribuait les lettres aux portes du quartier. Dès que je l'entendais, j'ouvrais ma fenêtre.»
Alphonse de Lamartine, Raphaël (1849)

Sunday Stamps | Easter
Today's Sunday Stamps is dedicated to Easter. My country does not issue Easter stamps, I found a couple in my collection, more than forty years old, and a recent one from the USA not exactly intended for Easter.

Sunday Stamps | Spring & Easter
Today's theme in Sunday Stamps is Easter or Spring.
I found a spring stamp, belonging to the series of British Flowers issued in 1979;
And an Easter stamp:
| Rabbit out of Hat Trick "Slowly bring the stamp to your nose" |
Both stamps, among others, arrived on this envelope sent by John (the UK):
PS While preparing this post I got another "Easter" stamp...
