Although I do not understand the text, I found out that these 2012 Turkish stamps are dedicated to Ensuring Equal Opportunities for Women and Men. The illustration is supposed to represent the world on the shoulders of men and women.

Thursday Postcard Hunt | Dome Houses

Şanlıurfa, is a city in south-eastern Turkey. Şanlıurfa’s fertile Harran Plain is home to funnel-shaped dome houses. Constructed with mortar made by mixing terracotta with rose oil (or rose leaves), straw and egg whites, these dome houses are cool in summer and warm in winter, thanks to their architecture and materials.

I got this fantastic piece of mail from Turkey, through the Postcrossing site. Not only a beautiful postcard, but a lot of stamps on the front of the envelope, on the back, and even stuck on the postcard inside.

So far, I have only got one of the stamps. It is from Turkey and, apart from big, it is amazing.
