Business Mail?

Contrary to most people (I guess), I rarely get any piece of mail that is not a personal one. The most business-like pieces of mail I receive are online orders (and also, very few of them).

But it is very nice when you order something and it arrives inside a neat and sweet envelope like this, sent from Belgium by Connie of CocoMojoDesigns.

Viking Mail

Postcars sent by Eva (Norway). It shows the Oseberg Ship. I love how the sender turned this postcard in something unique by adding some interesting magazine cuttings:

And I have recently received another postcard about Viking culture. This comes from the UK, sent by Laura who visited an exhibition in the British Museum. It represent chessmen from the late 12th centure, made of walrus ivory (height 9.2 cm). How curious!

Christmas Stamps

The theme for this week in Sunday Stamps is Christmas or holiday stamps. I didn't search a lot, I want just to share some of the Christmas stamps I received last year or two years ago. I find fascinating by how different countries adapt this theme, introducing their own traditions.

There are always two Christmas stamps in Spain: one with the Spain rate and one for Europe. In the last years, the designs usually are inspired in maternity. The two stamps showed date from 2010 and 2009, and they are for letters within the country. The Christmas series is the only one who is written in the four official languages in Spain (one stamp a year!). It says Happy Christmas in Spanish (Feliz Navidad), in Catalan (Bon Nadal), in Galician (Bo Nadal) and in Basque (Egubelarri Zorontosuak).
