Sunday Stamps | D Is for Different Shapes

Most stamps are rectangular, but some have other (odd) shapes...

Update: I see in the comments that the Dutch stamp is a winner. I have only got one of these stamps, but it belongs to a sheet of odd-shaped stamps:

Thursday Postcard Hunt | Finland

Micu sent me this postcard in January (actually, from Hungary). I think it shows the museums network in Finland.

But, when I first became a postcrosser (in 2008), there were a lot of Finnish users. Some people complained because they got "too much" postcards from Finland. That was never a problem for me. Usually, postcards and stamps from Finland are very nice!

Along the years, I have received quite a few maps of the country...

European Capitals (Postcrossing)

Vienna (Austria)

I got this postcard from Vienna last November, through the Postcrossing site. I like to read postcrossers profiles and know about their preferences. Sometimes people are quite specific, and funny. There are also some people who are not, but they ask for postcards like "a view from the capital city of your country".

Browsing among my received postcards, I have found that getting postcards from the capital cities is not as common as you might think. Maybe is just that I do not ask for them. But these are almost all the European capitals I have got as Postcrossing postcards.

I think it is curious that I have never received postcards featuring Berlin, Lisboa, Madrid...

Sunday Stamps | Peace

I have got the EUROPA 2023 Peace Stamp from several countries. It is a pleasure that it keeps arriving. This time, from Finland, Czech Republic and the Netherlands.

But there are still a lot of missing countries in my collection-to-be.

If you wish to swap this stamp (or swap it for a postcard, envelope, etc.), just let me know!

The envelope sent from Franc (the Netherlands) contained a lot more of stamps on the same topic: Peace. A beautiful gift!

And this is also a post for Sunday Stamps, dedicated today to EUROPA Stamps.
