I have got two of these Hungarian stamps, dedicated to Captain Nemo and the 150th Anniversary of the publication of Jules Verne's novel Twenty Thousand Leagues under the Sea.
The stamps were issued on 5 April 2019. This is the 4-stamps sheet:
I thought these stamps would fit in today's Sunday Stamps, dedicated to Transportation.
Ce bloc est vraiment très beau et Jules Verne tout un programme !
ReplyDeleteJe l'adore :)
DeleteA nice combination that tell the story. I like the contrast between the hot sun and the cool ocean as the submarine dives.
ReplyDeleteYes, and also on the ship. These are good illustrations.
DeleteAm I the only one to realise only recently that 20,000 leagues can't possibly be the depth under the sea? It's about twice round the earth! It must be the distance they travelled.
