Sunday Stamps | Life Magnified

Zebrafish / Mouse brain neurons / Acon barnacle

When I published this post, I wrongly thought that I had already got all the Life Magnified Stamps. But the rest of stamps arrived later.

Oak leaf surface / Read blood cells / Starling bone tissue

Macaw parrot feathers / Moss leaves / Human hair

Freshwater protozoans / Blue button organism / Mold spores

Moth wing scales / Flame lily pollen / Arranged diatoms

Diving beetle front foot / Freshwater snail tongue / Moth antenna

Mushroom gills / Barnacle legs

Although not all of this are strictly Small Animals, I thought I could add this post to Sunday Stamps.

  2. Nice to see these all together. I always wonder how USPS decides how many different stamps to have in an issue - this was a big set.

    1. Usually, there is an stamp missing for every set from the USA, the UK or the Netherlands (the countries I get most of my mail from). Other times, I got the set twice! This is a colourful and original set, and I am happy to have seen in person.

I would like my country issue sets of stamps, too.

  3. Fascinating, glad to see them all. Diving beetle's front foot is so specific, they must have had fun choosing the images. Hidden wonders in plain sight.

  5. Those are amazing! I would never have imagined the diving beetle's front foot! Snail tongues are fascinating. I actually enjoy watching them eat. Then I move them to the compost pile, where they can eat away to their heart's content.
