Sunday Stamps | Backyard Games

On August 12, 2021 the USPS issued Backyard Games stamps in eight designs. They celebrate  the many games Americans play for outdoor recreation. Some of the games are not common here!

Go to Sunday Stamps to see more stamps about Summer Fun.

  1. I was surprised croquet was played in the US but apparently they play it with different rules! Nice summery set of stamps.

  2. It seems like a long time since I've seen people play frisbee (or maybe I need to get out more?)

    1. Frisbee and badminton are the only games of this set I am familiar with.

  3. I think I figured them all out! If the square being thrown into a hole is cornhole, I got them. Cornhole as an actual competitive sport seems silly to me, I just call it bean bag toss! I was never very athletic, but did like badminton in high school. The birdie moves so much slower than in tennis, and it's so much easier to hit! Frisbee Golf is pretty big in the U.S. So is Pickleball. My neighborhood park just reopened after a year of updates, and it has two Pickleball courts.
