A Global Letter

I reused an illustrated envelope (from the Philatelic Service) to send a letter to Heleen (the Netherlands). The Mafalda stamp (top right) exists as a real stamp. But it has no value impressed on the envelope.

I looked for stamps featuring the globe to match it.
This letter took two months to reach its destination.

And it got a couple of postmarks on both sides!

  1. That is a long journey - but at least it arrived in the end.

  2. A long journey indeed, as if the mail first wanted to travel around Mafalda’s globe before settling in NL (or maybe it was just that Correos and PostNL became confused by all stamps :-) )

Thank you again for this wonderful and dear piece of mail, Eva!

  3. IT's curious, because other things I sent at the same time arrived in a normal amount of time. But... What does normal mean anymore?
