Sunday Stamps | 1900s

Although I have already published some of these received stamps, this series came immediately to my mind when I read today's topic for Sunday Stamps: Issued in the 1900s.

The stamps were issued in 1998 under the title Celebrate the Century. Ten sheets of fifteen different stamps were issues, which each sheet depicting events of one decade of the 20th century, from the 1900s to 1990s. You find here the complete list of stamps.

I have got just a sample of these:

1900s: Dawn of the Twentieth Century

St. Louis World's Fair

1910s: America Looks Beyond its Borders

Child Labor Reform

1920s: The Roaring Twenties

The Great Gatsby

Flappers Do The Charleston

Jazz

  1. A great set of stamps. No wonder those kids at St Louis need ice creams with the all encompassing clothing.

  3. I thought it was just me who couldn't comment! My computer is dying and I've got a new one but ... covid means I have to transfer data from old to new myself and I admit I am apprehensive.
Anyway, I love this series. the only one Id seen before was the crayola. The Gatsby Style is my favourite, I think.
