If you have been reading this blog for a while, you might know that I have a collection of lighthouses on postcards and stamps (my only
proper collections, actually).
These are the latest I have got:
|
"Pingelturm" lighthouse, mouth of the Weser, Bremerhaven Germany |
|
Westkapelle (I think) |
Sent by Brigitte (Germany), Laura (the UK), Fabienne (France) and Heleen (the Netherlands).

Thursday Postcard HuntJuly theme: WAYMARKERS
Everyone is welcome to share their postcards!
That first one is truly something! I like the Maltese one too, as I don't often see depictions of Malta.
ReplyDeleteMe neither. But, actually, that Maltese postcard was sent from France.
DeleteI knew you were going to show awesome lighthouses😆. I really like the illustrated lighthouse.
ReplyDelete:D
DeleteThat one is an impressive and frightening one!
That first one is quite interesting looking. The second one is quite scary looking. The Maltese one is an island I hadn't heard of before. Texel, I've actually seen. The Zeeland one has that unfortunate platform ruining the look :(
ReplyDeleteMy internet has been out for hours, so apologies for taking so long to finish my comment!
Actually, I think that platform isn't there anymore (this must be an old picture, although I had just got the postcard).
DeleteEva, like Marina, I'm drawn to the illustrated lighthouse postcards! They have a charm that photographs can't quite capture. Your selection this week is awesome, each lighthouse with its own unique features.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Illustrate lighthouses are very personal views, so they add some charm to the places.
