Tanneron, with its twenty-two hamlets nestling in the heart of the massif of the same name, is the largest area in France planted with both cultivated and wild mimosa, spectacular yellow forests of fluffy little balls, so beautiful to see in their natural environment. From December to March, the abundant mimosa blossom will surprise you with its fragrant, intoxicating gold and light: a magical experience.
The sender, Ania, agrees with that!

They must be amazing to see in the wild, they are pretty enough individually. Although those flowers are messy.
ReplyDeleteI like mimosa trees, but I have never seen so many together.
DeleteMimosa always makes me think of the international woman's day: in Italy that is what is gifted to women for that (also it reminds me of a product from L'Occitane ;-))
ReplyDeleteI didn't know. It is not so popular here.
DeleteYes! The first time I saw large mimosa trees was in Italy, I visited just on women's day and everywhere was full of mimosa bouquets! That's when I looked for other mimosa places and found Tanneron :)
DeleteThanks again :D
DeleteThat must be a quite a winter sight. Pretty card, I like the aerial views
ReplyDeleteMy friend went there in March.
DeleteMimosa makes me think of the cocktail made with equal parts orange juice and champagne. Blossoms are always exciting to see, especially in such large numbers.
ReplyDeleteI only learned about that kind of "mimosa" thanks to a birthday card!.
DeleteIl existe aussi un classique de la cuisine ,ce sont les œufs mimosa .
