Krtek

Sent by Heleen (the Netherlands).
Postcard made from packaging for some stamps.

I discovered this funny character some time ago, when I received this postcard from Milan (Czech Republic) trough Postcrossing:

  1. I was in doubt: whether send this picture to you or to Eutrapèlia (because of the mirror).
But I decided to send it to you (maybe we can send a link to this mirror to Eutrapèlia?! :-)

    Did you discover Krtek recently?
    For me it's nostalgia :-)
As a child we were watching Molletje on Dutch television, and I liked it a lot. 'Molletje' is his Dutch name, which means 'Little Mole'. A few years ago I bought a box containing 4 'Molletje' dvd's, so to say for our kids, but still also I like these movies!.. And the themes are contemporary, for instance 'Mole in the city', where the woods are destroyed to make place for urbanization (I found the movie on internet, too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QnxKqEyj59c )

    1. Yes, indeed: I've discovered Krtek trough Postcrossing. It is the same with the Moomins, and many other people and places... So I really learn thanks to mail. Of course: communicate is the only way to learn!

I'm not sure if many people in my country know this character.

Oh, thank you for the link. It is the first time I have seen Krtek performing. It is so lovely!
