Sunday Stamps | Twelve

Today's theme in Sunday Stamps is Numbers. Seeking for inspiration, I found this lovely 1977 stamp, from a 6-stamps set dedicated to The Twelve Days of Christmas

I hesitated about publishing a Christmas stamp in July. But... this is a crazy year, isn't it?

And I love this set (almost posted it myself!)

    1. I think I've only got two stamps from this set. But I'm unable to find the other one (the 9p)!

  2. It was a lovely set. It is said that the symbols and numbers may be pre-Christian and relate back to the celebration of Yule. Seven Swans a Swimming is a message to celebrate the beauty of the unknown so there you have Christmas in July:)

    2. have you heard Miss Piggy's version? (John Denver and the Muppets) I still giggle whenever I hear the song no matter who is singing.

    4. So no Spanish or Catalan version of this? I wonder if it is an English-only carol.
