Winter Collage

Front and back of a collage made by Fabienne (France). Perfect theme for these days!

In case you want to see better the snowy stamps from different countries that she used on the front part:

The snowflakes (all different, of course!);

And the stamps on the back, on the same topic:

250th Anniversary of Jane Austen’s Birth

2025 marks the 250th anniversary of Jane Austen’s birth and I have been celebrating throughout the year. Apart from re-reading some Austen's books... getting and sending Austen-related mail, of course!

"Nobody minds having what is too good for them."
Mansfield Park

I guess I can add a Brönte-related postcard: the earliest know image of Haworth Parsonage.

All sent by Laura (the UK).

December Stamps

December usually means December stamps from the Netherlands. These are some of the 2024 designs, created by illustrator Marieke Ruts from Hellevoetsluis. They include ten festive scenes, each one with a robin, the bird that always inspires hope. You can see here all the illustrations.

They always look wonderful on envelopes, like these sent by Heleen:

Books!

Library of Strahov Abbey, Czechia

Postcard from a Poscrossing meeting that took place in a bookstore. On the envelope, matching stamps featuring four Duthc writers: Abdelkader Benali, Bregje Hofstede, Kader Abdolah and Jessica Durlacher. Only one of these names was familiar to me.

Sent by Věra (Czechia) and Heleen (the Netherlands).
