Dennis Stamp
Letter sent by Alan (the UK). Ar first sight, the stamp looked like a drawing on the envelope! It belongs to this series.

Sunday Stamps | Emilio Sánchez
Today's theme in Sunday Stamps is Art/Paintings. I have chosen these stamps I got last week.
The stamps on the right feature two works by the artist Emilio Sánchez. You can read more about this issue here. It includes two more stamps.
I am afraid the sender did not pay attention when he stuck the stamps on the envelope. The artworks make much more sense in the right way:

Sunday Stamps | Oil Platform
I do not know why, but this is the first stamp that came to my mind. It features the Prirazlomnaya oil platform, in Russia. The stamp was issued in 2015.

Heritage Breeds
I showed here two of these stamps with original postmarks (chicken & turkey). Later, I received some more of the Heritage Breeds series, issued by the USPS on 17 May 2021.

Pompeii
And another Postcrossing coincidence: I had never got a postcard from Pompeii, and I got two (from Germany), the same day. They depict a couple of Dionysus masks and a basilique.
From John (the UK), I got another postcard for the Roman Empire collection:
The Roman villa at Bignor, West Sussex, discovered in 1811 during ploughing, has some of the finest preserved mosaics from Roman Britain. The mosaic featured on the stamp, laid in an apsed room on the villa’s north side, probably dates to the early 4th century AD. It depicts a female head usually identified as the Roman goddess Venus.
I had got it as a stamp, like more from this Roman Britain series.

Studio Ghibli
I had never received any postcard featuring Studio Ghibli films. And, suddenly, thanks to Postcrossing, I got two the same day. They feature scenes from The Wind Rises and Pom Poko and were sent from different countries: Canada and the USA.
One of the postcards was decorated by a 5-years-old artist :)
